INTRODUCTION
Rosenshine highlights the dual purpose of questions:
a) to provide opportunities for student practice
b) to allow a teacher to determine how well material has been learned, informing their decision to move on or to provide additional instruction. His review of research suggests that when teachers ask more questions, involving all students, their learning outcomes improve.
